Hi, I’m Ebonie Bailey.

My Approach

My mission is to help systems and organizations reimagine maternity care in ways that are collaborative, culturally thoughtful, and responsive to the real needs of families and the professionals who serve them. This mission is embodied in practice as a doula and a birthwork educator.

Gilligan’s Guide

As a certified Gilligan’s Guide Instructor, I help doulas and birthwork professionals design a plan of care to accommodate optimal fetal position knowledge and therefore increase the chance of a safer, more expedient vaginal birth.

Lasting Impact

Doulas who complete my mentoring program are given tools to help them reach families looking for safe maternity care, affecting not only the families they help, but their surrounding communities.

She has presented to medical residents, public health boards, and healthcare professionals, offering practical, evidence-informed strategies for integrating doulas into clinical settings and addressing disparities in maternal and infant health.

As a speaker, Ebonie brings clarity, compassion, and actionable insight to conferences and leadership spaces, helping organizations move beyond awareness toward sustainable implementation. Her work supports institutions seeking to build meaningful partnerships with community-based doulas, strengthen trust with birthing families, and create care models that honor dignity, safety, and balance.
